Unbeatable price/performance ratio - Engine preparation given for 650 hp - Ideal for tracks days Like other cars in the collection, André Lurton bought this Corvette at auction at Artcurial at the 2012 Le Mans Classic sale. The catalogue description detailed the car: This Chevrolet Corvette was made specifically for Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) competitions. It consists of a tubular frame and dressed in a polyester skin that can be easily deposited. The log-book that accompanies her shows that she has had a long career in racing. It is equipped with a special Chevrolet 357 (5,850 cm3) engine, which features: four stud rod heads, rods and Crower vilebrequin, Ross forged pistons, Reed pushers, Brodix aluminum breech, Holley Brad Urban carburetor on an Edelbrock 2925 Super Victor admission pipe, Center clutch, Borg Warner Super T10 gearbox competition, Hurst lever. The engine is dry- cased, with an 11-litre oil tank at the rear, features an MSD ignition and a large diameter spaghetti exhaust. On the test bench, this engine has developed a power of 650 hp. Other special equipment includes a 4.11 differential, Wilwood six piston brakes in the front and four pistons at the rear, 16x12 rims in the front and 16x14 at the rear, an original Corvette adjustable front suspension, and a five-arm rear suspension that is also adjustable and easy to file to exchange bridge reports. Accessible by dropping off the door, the cabin is fully designed for competition, with bucket seat and safety harness.
This car was purchased in the United States by the current owner who wanted to restore it. Circumstances have decided otherwise and today he is offering it for sale. Before returning to competition, this Corvette requires a complete dismantling and verification of all its components.
